Printing for students and educators.

Up to 30% off for students and educators with a .edu email address.

The engineers who run this shop learned by building things, breaking them and building them again. Students should get to do the same, without a print bill that stops the project.

Who it is for

  • Students working on class projects, capstones and senior design.
  • Student teams in robotics, racing and design competitions.
  • Educators printing demonstration parts, lab fixtures and teaching models.
  • University labs that need functional prototypes on a research budget.

How it works

  • Send an estimate. Upload your CAD to the instant estimate and send it for review using your .edu email address. The discount requires one.
  • Say you are a student or educator. In the notes, name your school and what the part is for.
  • We get in touch. We contact you to learn about the project, then update your quote with the discount, up to 30% off.

Nothing prints until you approve the updated quote.

More than a discount

If you are new to designing for 3D printing, ask. We will explain why a part should be oriented a certain way or why one material suits it better than another. Start with the design guidelines and the materials page.
