Anything else, ask. The answer comes from the shop.
As printed, walls and outer features typically hold ±0.1 mm and holes ±0.2 mm on small, well supported features. Accuracy falls off as a part gets larger and varies with material, so critical dimensions are reviewed per part. Tell us which ones matter and we will tell you what we can hold on yours, before you order. The tolerance guide.
A part larger than the 350 × 320 × 320 mm envelope is split along a joint line, printed as sections and bonded into one piece. The estimator tells you when that applies, and the joint line is confirmed during review.
The instant estimate reads STEP, STL, OBJ or 3MF. STEP is best, because it carries exact geometry. Add a PDF drawing for anything critical: tolerances, threads, inserts or finish.
Yes. Most of our work is custom. Email the files, the quantity, the material or what the part has to survive, and the date you need it to 3dp@seabrightmechanical.com. We reply with a quote.
An engineer reviews it before anything is built: printability, orientation, tolerances and material. We may adjust the price, material or lead time, or suggest a design change. You see the final quote before production starts.
No. We hold none of them, and we do not supply flight, medical or safety-critical hardware. Aerospace and automotive teams buy prototypes, fixtures and test hardware from shops like this one, and that is the work we do for them.
Printed from your CAD: functional and mechanical prototypes, fixtures and manufacturing aids, tooling, enclosures and housings, manifolds and ducting, robotics components, replacement parts for equipment out of production, test hardware, and repeat low-volume parts.
PETG, PETG ESD, PETG CF, PLA, ABS, Nylon (PA), Nylon CF (PA-CF), PPA-CF, PPS-CF, PC, ASA, TPU. The materials page says what each is for and when not to pick it. Not sure? Tell us the load, the heat and the environment, and we will recommend one during review.
Typical parts ship in 3 to 4 days after the final quote is approved. The estimator prices four turnarounds for your exact part, down to 2 days on Ultra Fast.
No minimum quantity. Every order has a $30 minimum.
We send an invoice once you approve the final quote, and payment in full is due before production begins. Pay by credit card, debit card or bank transfer through our third-party payment processor. We never process or store your payment details.
The estimator reads your CAD in your browser; nothing is uploaded to price it. Once you submit, and while the job is open, we hold the exact CAD it was priced from so a repeat order builds the revision you approved. Files are deleted when the project is complete, as our privacy policy says.
We are glad to work under an NDA. If you need one signed before you send geometry, just ask.
One shop, in San Jose, with local pickup by arrangement. We serve San Jose, North San Jose, Santa Clara, Milpitas, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Cupertino, Campbell, Fremont, Palo Alto, and ship anywhere in the United States. The towns are the market we serve, not offices we keep.
Larger-format capacity and further additive processes are planned. Nothing is offered on this site until the machine that does it is in the shop.
Upload the CAD for an instant estimate, or email the files for a custom quote.
