No analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party trackers. Here is exactly what happens to your data and to your CAD files, in plain terms.
This site sets no cookies at all. There is no analytics package, no advertising pixel, no session tracking and no third-party tracker. Nothing follows you between visits and nothing is shared with an ad network.
Because there are no non-essential cookies, there is nothing to consent to. The notice you saw on arrival says so, and closing it is the only thing it does. It used to offer Accept and Reject; both wrote the same value and neither changed anything, so the choice was not real and it has been removed rather than left there looking like one.
Three things, all of them local to your own browser, and none of them sent anywhere by being stored. None of them identifies you.

| Your estimate, for twelve hours | The estimator keeps the CAD files you have added, along with the name, unit, material, infill and quantity you chose for each, and any specification documents you attached to the order, in a database inside your own browser. That is what lets a reload, a stray back button or a trip to the 3D viewer and back leave your work where you left it. It is deleted twelve hours after you last changed it, and that clock is checked every time the estimator opens, whether or not you come back. Removing every part, or starting a new estimate, deletes it immediately, and the documents go with it. |
| A CAD file, briefly | Only if you press Quote this part in the 3D viewer. The file is parked in your browser's local database to carry it across to the estimator, then deleted as soon as the estimator reads it, and in any case discarded after ten minutes. Both pages check that clock when they open, so it goes even if you never reach the estimator. It is not sent anywhere by this step. |
Opening a file does not upload it. In both the estimator and the 3D viewer the geometry is read and measured by code running inside your own browser. Producing a price involves no server. You can watch this yourself in your browser's network panel, and the viewer keeps working with the network switched off.
Sending is a separate, deliberate act, and there are two ways to do it:
Once a job is with us, your files live in our mailbox and our working files for as long as the project runs, because we need them to build your parts and to match a repeat order to the revision you approved. We delete your 3D files when the project is complete. We do not use them for anything other than quoting and manufacturing your parts, and we do not share them.
If you are working under an NDA, put its reference in the NDA reference field on the estimate and it is carried onto the estimate, the email and the file archive. If you would rather your geometry did not pass through this site at all, use the download option and email it to us directly.
| You give us | Your name, company, email address, and optionally a phone number, project title, NDA reference and notes. A shipping address, so the estimate can work out shipping and sales tax. If you tell us you were referred, the optional Who referred you? field, which is somebody else's name: we use it only to thank them and to make sense of your enquiry, we do not contact them about it, and you are welcome to leave it blank. |

| Your files give us | The CAD files you choose to send, their measured geometry, and a fingerprint of each file so we can confirm we are building the revision you approved. If you attach specification documents to an order, whatever you put in them, which is why they are optional and why nothing on the estimate asks for one. |
| The server records | A counter that limits how many times one connection can use the two things on this site that call the server: allocating an estimate number, which happens when you download an estimate as well as when you send one, and submitting an estimate for review. Your address itself is not written down. What is stored is a one way hash of it, salted with a random value that is generated fresh each hour and destroyed with that hour's counters, so once the hour is over nobody can work back from the hash to you, us included. The counters and the salt are deleted by a job that runs every ten minutes. Netlify also keeps standard web server logs, as every web host does, and those do contain addresses. |
We keep enquiries and quotes as ordinary business records so we can quote, build and invoice the job, and because tax rules require us to. We do not sell them, rent them, or add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
The enquiry form on the home page is delivered by Web3Forms, a third-party service that turns the form into an email to us. They process what you type in order to deliver it. If you would rather not involve them, email 3dp@seabrightmechanical.com directly. It reaches the same place.

That is the whole list, and the last two are reached only at the moment you send something.
The estimator loads everything it runs from this site, the geometry and PDF libraries included. While you are pricing a part it contacts nobody but this site, so no other company sees the request, your IP address, or anything at all about the file you dropped. The 3D viewer talks to nothing at all. Every library it needs is built into the page.
We do not track you across sites or over time, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to turn off. We honor it by having nothing to honor. We allow no third party to collect personally identifiable information about your activity across other sites from here.
Ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete it, and we will. Corrections are worth asking for: a wrong email address or a wrong shipping address on a live job is the kind of thing that costs you a delivery. Email 3dp@seabrightmechanical.com. There is no account to close and no profile to opt out of, because we never built one.
If this changes, the new version replaces this page and the effective date below changes with it. If a change ever materially affects what we do with information we already hold, we will say so at the top of this page for at least thirty days before it takes effect. If we ever add analytics or anything that does set a cookie, this page changes first and the notice becomes a real consent choice that blocks it until you answer. We have no plans to.
